The movie that was released 4 years ago back in 2017 is now back! Zack Snyder’s vision for the justice league is a fan superior version than the Josstice league garbage fire of a film we got the first time around.
Now this movie I’ll admit is very very long BUT it’s X10 better than the previous addition. So real quick I highly recommend this movie to anyone that is a fan of Zack Snyder and the DC universe he was building to until he had to drop out of the original Justice League for personal reasons.
The Snyder cut is a better film all round from the story, which is mainly the same as the original with some improvements made from start to finish.
The acting, action, comedy and overall tone of the film feels like a gritty and well made Superhero movie. If this had been the original version I imagine we’d have seen a sequel already and spin off films based on these characters.
The film is divided into chapters with an epilogue which really helps to set the pace of the film and gives it an epic feel.
The main improvements for me were the start where we don’t see that awful fake Henry Cavill moustache. The thing looked like a poor Snapchat filter but anyway now I don’t have to see that anymore. The world feels like a safer place now.
The filling out of a non existent and underused character of cyborg played by Ray Fisher is vastly improved here. We essentially get an origin story for the guy right here in Justice League. Cyborg was one of the standout aspects of the film.
The same can be said for Ezra Miller’s flash. He’s undergone some major improvements here and is first of all a way more tolerable and likeable character but also he’s essential to the plot. The film needs flash unlike the original that had him racing around with a family in a pick-up truck or something. Honestly I’m trying to push as many details of the original film out of my mind.
Ben Affleck as batman continues to be one of the greatest versions of the character. Not getting a solo movie for him will be a great loss to the batman film series.
Henry Cavill again proving himself to be an incredible Superman rivaling that of Christopher Reeve. Cavill in this film shows the full variety of emotions while playing the iconic hero. With a very well cast and beautifully acted Lois Lane played by Amy Adams. The pair have a real connection and screen chemistry.
Gal Godot yet again proves why she is wonder woman and she shines as the amazonian yet again in this outing.
Jason Mamoa as Aquaman may be one of the greatest upgrades to a Superhero character of all time. Prior to his casting Aquaman was a joke or at best a potential James Cameron movie with Vinny Chase in Entourage.
Overall the Justice League that Snyder gave us is a vast improvement all around. I want to see more from this universe but aside from the already planned Aquaman, Flash and maybe wonder woman films this universe may be finished. Buy at least we can now finally say we have a good Justice League movie and that’s a win for me
