#163 – Sleep

1:10 am,

She’s asleep beside me,

The dog is snoring on his worn out, faded yellow cushion next to the bed and I can’t get to sleep.

She looks much better than I do when I sleep, or when I’m awake

There’s a summers breeze outside but it’s late and Ireland so it chills too

How did I get here?

There’s something freeing about being awake when everyone’s asleep, finally time to think

But, how did I get here?

Lying in bed next to a truly beautiful woman, surrounded by peace. Things really have changed.

I’m glad I’m here…

It’s late night clarity I believe
