#199 Halloween

Spooky season is here again and this year it’s special

I’m watching all the horrors films

Halloween, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street,Scream, Hereditary and of course the Shining

The blood, the guts and the horror,

It’s a special time of year when our darkness bubbles above the surface and we scare each other and ourselves

Carving pumpkins and having a few drinks,

Trick r Treating and playing tricks

Jack Torrance and the Overlook hotel break through into my Thoughts

I carved my pumpkins, the first, the second and finally today the third

Me and Eva have our sweets and treats by the door,

It’s raining heavy all day, the rain is beating against the window,

Perfect for this time of year

It’s only half four and I’m hearing the fireworks already, let them go !

The older I get the more and more I enjoy this scary time of year. Maybe that’s part of life but I’m enjoying it a lot these days and remember
