#205-The London Underground

Masked up and cramped into an underground missile aimed right at Camden Market,

The underground is a mysterious place and full of so many faces,

I gripped on and held for dear life

I saw a drunk stumble around

I saw a child lead his parents to the right train

I saw the eyes of everyone

I helped a woman carry a suitcase down the spiral steps,

It was full of plates, cutlery and a kitchen sink for her son off to college

Not much else to see with a mask on

The tube was chaos

Pushing and some shuffling along,

But it gets you where you want fast

My forehead sweating in my big winter jacket

Oh fuck I need to feel the breeze from London bridge, that’ll wake me back up

It’s 7:33pm now, I’m in Westminster in London

Think I’ll go for a drink
