#98 – Entourage film 2015

Vinny Chase and the boys are back and this time they’re on the big screen. The movie picks up just a few days after the show ended. Vince is celebrating the end of his 9 day marriage on a yacht in Ibiza and we pick up the film with his entourage of “E” Turtle and Drama riding out to see him.

Vince has decided that the next project he does he also wants to direct as he tells an Ari Gold in disbelief on the other end of the phone. Ari has gotten the promotions of all promotions and he’s going to push Vince’s project through.

We then cut to the shows intro, Superhero by Jane’s addiction and it’s new take on the shows intro. It’s a little strange to see an intro on a movie if I’m being honest.

Now is the entourage movie great? Well if your a fan of the show you’re goanna want to see what the guys are up to but the story does feel like watching 3 or 4 episodes back to back.

The story is essentially vince needing more money for his project again to finish it

Ari is battling with a texas money man played by Billy Bob Thornton and his young and dumb son played by Haley Joel Osmont.

E is caught up with sloan’s pregnancy and of course they’ve broken up again because I’m convinced they don’t know how to write one of the entourage while being in a relationship with someone other than the boys. He’s also in a love triangle with some randomers because of Hollywood baby!

Drama is trying to keep his role in Vince’s film Hyde and caught up in a tmz jerk off scandal.

Turtle is now a millionaire but nobody knows how much he actually has but he lives next door to Steven Spielberg. He’s just trying to get a date with Rhonda Rousey for the entire film.

Was this film fun? Yes

Was it needed? Not necessarily I think another season would be more suited to the storyline and tone of the show.

Ari Gold is the driving force for this film. Jeremy piven as Ari is one of the great characters of television and he’s the only character really in the film driving some story forward.

Cameos, Cameos & more Cameos this film has more cameos from celebrities than I’ve ever seen here’s just a few of them in the film

  • Mark Wahlberg
  • Rhonda Rousey
  • Pharrell
  • Andrew dice clay
  • Kelsey Grammer
  • Tom Brady
  • Gary Busey
  • Calvin Harris
  • Jon Favreau

As a fan of the show I really enjoyed catching up with everyone again and It’s a fun hangout movie. I still have my fingers crossed for a new season of the show in the future.

Until then I’ll have to rewatch and catch up with the victory podcast created by Doug Ellin, Kevin Dillon and Kevin Connolly and it’s perfect for an entourage fan
